After a successful inaugural GQ STYLE FEST last year that focused on high-end fashion, the event made its return this year at the Taipei Expo Dome on August 5th and 6th, this time with a focus on streetwear and street culture. With GQ Taiwan’s dedication to sustainable consumption in fashion, the event showcased a great mix of selected brands as well as secondhand vendors.

While the first day was pushed back a few hours due to the recent typhoon, it didn’t diminish the attendees’ excitement. Even before the rescheduled opening time, a long line snaked around the open space outside. Inside, every booth buzzed with activity, and even the ones that required queues for entry couldn't deter the enthusiastic crowd. Selected brands included GOOPiMade, NAMESAKE, Converse, Dickies, SUNRISE BARBER, and more.

The food market in the corner kept the attendees fueled up, and bars set up around the space allowed attendees to easily mingle. A skate park, art exhibit, and music stage that featured artists and DJs like Dizzy Dizzo, RayRay, Gummy B, and others further kept crowds entertained.

The event brought together GQ's refined taste and the raw energy of street culture, resulting in an explosion of creativity. The inclusion of booths selling secondhand items not only encouraged sustainability, but made brands more accessible. GQ STYLE FEST proved to be an exhilarating celebration of fashion and urban culture, and overall a great annual event to Taipei’s fashion and social scene.
