Your own healing is the greatest message of hope for others. —Julia Cameron, from The Artist’s Way
Inspired by real tarot readings, Divination is a manifestation of artist Eve J. Liu’s spiritual journey. Through self-portraits and film, Eve personifies the Arcanas that have continually provided introspection and solace. In the following spread, Eve embarks on a journey of new beginnings as the Fool.

Along the way, her intuition awakens with the Ace of Cups, but she is soon met with the Tower, a crumbling of all she’s known. Amidst the chaos and cold, Eve chooses light and inner union, embodying the Lovers. At last, she reaches a state of wholeness and ascension with the World. Yet this cycle of growth will begin again with the Fool, reminding us that all life is an ouroboros of destruction and rebirth. At its core, Divination serves as an instrument of personal healing, an act of collective alchemy, and a creative testament of hope.

I. The Fool: new beginnings
II. Ace of Cups: awakening of the heart
III. The Tower: chaos of change, revelation
IV. The Lovers: choice, inner union
V. The World: wholeness, ascension
